PUTRAJAYA: Ten thousand people are expected to take part in a big walk here on this Sturday, Dec 11 in aid of the Palestinians.
The "Big Walk For Gaza" which will include participants from Seranta Felda a unit in the Prime Minister's Department, the Federal Land Development Authority (Felda), GAPROF and Perdana Peace Global Foundation (PGPF) coincides with the "Karnival Ikatan Hati Warga Felda (Iktiraf) 2010".
Felda Youth Council president Anuar Manap said 5,000 of the estimated 10,000 participants along the 3km route would be Felda youth community members.

"We hope that through this walk, we can inject the spirit of patriotism and humanity into the Felda youths," he told reporters here yesterday.
The Felda youth members will be joined by 5,000 people from non-governmental organisations, government agencies and other establishments.
Seranta Felda Director Ehsanuddin Harun Narrashid called on the participants to donate to the Palestinians.

Members of the public who wish to take part should gather at Dataran Masjid Putrajaya at 2pm on Dec 11.
Participants will be flagged off at 5pm by Tun Dr. Mahathir.
